Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Laura Collin ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website (the "Site").

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. This is the only personal information we collect directly from you.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Log data: Your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited.
  • Cookies: This Site sets no cookies of its own. We use no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Send you our newsletter and updates about new book releases, bonus content, and author news.
  • Analyze site traffic to improve our website.
  • Respond to your inquiries if you contact us.

Third-Party Services

MailerLite

We use MailerLite as our email marketing platform. When you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored and processed by MailerLite in accordance with their Privacy Policy. MailerLite servers are located in the EU and US.

Amazon

Our Site contains links to Amazon, where the book can be read or bought. These links pass through `/read` on this Site, which reads the country your connection appears to come from and forwards you to your local Amazon store — Kindle Unlimited is only available on a reader's own store. Your country is used for that redirect and is not stored. You are then on Amazon's website, which is governed by Amazon's Privacy Policy.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect basic log information as described in their Privacy Policy.

Analytics

We use Umami to measure how many people visit the Site and which links they arrive from. Umami is a privacy-first analytics service: it sets no cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. It records the page visited, the referring site or campaign tag, and an approximate country, browser and device type. When you click a link to Amazon, we also record that a click happened and which part of the page it came from. None of this identifies you personally. Umami's own handling of this data is described in their Privacy Policy.

Your Rights

For California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you.
  • Delete your personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

For All Users

You may:
